Good Turn News

                 

A BIG thank you to everyone that helps us complete these projects. Not only do the projects we complete help our community, it teaches our scouts about being good citizens and to help others!

Scouting For Food 3/1/2010 to 3/19/2010

Our Scouts were at it again. This year we did Scouting for Food to help the Christian Resource Center's Food Pantry. There were many in the community that helped us reach our goal of 500 cans. Thank you to all that helped our Pack learn about being good citizens and to help others.

Letters to the Soilders

Many of our scouts have made cards and donations to send over seas to the men and women serving in our armed forces.

Angel Food Ministries

We have been invited to help each month with the Angel Food shipments. The scouts will help load the boxes. This is the 4th Saturday of each month at the old Pattery building.

Scouting For Food (03/26/09)

We have coordinated with the Spencer County Public Libaries to collect food to donate to the Christian Resource Center. They will be making baskets to be given for Easter. We collected more than 200 items!!

            

Leave No Trace (03/2009)

The Wolf Den practiced their "Leave No Trace" principals by doing litter patrol at the Lifetime Education Center. They picked up litter and debris in the small cemetary behind the school.

Coat Drive (01/09)

Throughout the month of January we will be collecting gently used and new coats. These coats will be donated to local homeless shelters for distribution.

Christmas Wish Assistance (12/08)

WBKR invited our pack to help with the Christmas Wish silent auction. Austin and Aric assisted by greeting people and signing people in for the event.

Cards for Soliders (12/08)

We worked with Rockport Elementary School and U.S. Bank Home Mortgage to make cards for a Veteran's Hospital. We have collected 205 cards!! Anyone who would like to send cards directly to the hospital may send to:

Polar Bear Plunge Litter Patrol (02/08)

Alex F, James, and Cody all participated in Litter Patrol during the Polar Bear Plunge at the Hines Center. The Polar Bear Plunge raises funds to support the Special Olymipcs. Plungers raise a minimum of $50.00 to plunge into the icy lake!
